Nancy Harding Burgess, Director

   As the founding director of Heart and Soul Connection, Nancy has been involved in Christian ministry since 1970. Since she married her pastor-husband, Larry, in June of 1970, she has served as a youth pastor's wife, associate pastor's wife, and senior pastor's wife. Her great passion is to come alongside ministry wives and their families with resources pertinent to their unique life needs. Her heartbeat is to be an armor-bearer for ministers' wives - much like the armor-bearer was for Jonathan in 1 Samuel 14:6-7, when he said, "I am with you heart and soul."

   Nancy has had extensive experience in:

         1) counseling and planning events for ministers' wives;
         2) speaking to women's groups for retreats and banquets;
         3) training women's ministry leadership;
         3) teaching single and married adults in Sunday School;
         4) leading teacher-training conferences for adult Bible study ministry leaders;

   Encouragement through writing, counseling, speaking and conference-leading is Nancy's primary spiritual gift. Her ministry experience with ministers' wives officially began in 2001 when she accepted a position as Ministers' Wives Specialist with Georgia Baptist Women's Missionary Union and Women's Enrichment Ministry, auxiliary of the Georgia Baptist Convention. She fulfilled this commitment by leading regional seminars, retreats, conferences, and meeting one-on-one with ministry wives in crisis.

   As a result her work with Georgia Baptist ministry wives, Nancy felt God leading her to expand this ministry to ministers' wives from any denomination, from anywhere in the United States or in the world, and thus Heart and Soul Connection was birthed.

   Nancy is the mother of one very gifted, adult daughter named Joanna.  Nancy serves in several ministries in her local church and is a strong advocate for building up the local body of believers.
